Uruguay felt the absence of their talisman, Cavani. Uruguay seemed to have lacked the spirit that characterised their performances throughout this tournament as France outplayed them in every part of the pitch.
The goals came from Varane and Griezmann and France will now face Belgium in the 2018 World Cup Semifinal.
